Our adventurers find themselves in Highgate City... (Session 5)
There, they have taken a job to find out who has been stealing shipments from Over the Hop Brewing. The castaways joined a caravan heading toward Glastonbury hoping to catch the thieves in the act.
A clever druid spotted an ambush along the wooded path. The sneaky and convincing rogue got the leader of the small group of bandits to spill the beans about the attacks.
It seams someone has been paying them to steal from the brewery and is even letting them keep the ill-gotten gains. What a deal!
Our team learned that whoever the bandits meet with isn't much of the criminal type but is savvy enough to keep themselves anonymous.
When returning to town, the heroes have to wade through a demonstration by a group calling themselves The Green Circle. Something about unfair taxes or corruption in the governor's office or some such.
Natch meets with Blind Pete at the Dancing Damsel where Pete mentions that he's seen someone there once or twice who looked out of place in such a bar.
Gathering some more intel from their working class friends, the party decides to infiltrate the secret Green Circle meeting that night.
There they see some familiar faces and they meet Mathison, the reluctant leader of the cause.
He explains that he believes that Governor Andre is an installed leader who is paid by the SSTC. To what end, he's not sure but it just doesn't smell right. Also his high taxes are a burden on the local shop owners and many of them are looking at potentially having to shut down and move to more hospitable territory.
He suggests there might be evidence of the wrongdoings somewhere in the offices of the SSTC docks.
The meeting was cut short buy a guard raid on the building where our team dispatched of their assailants but lost Mathison in the melee.

Shishkapedes and Coconut Water (Session 4)
Having disposed of the undead demon crabs living in the tunnels under the manor at Glastonbury, a very common situation, the group decided to make their way to Highgate. As it is the largest settlement on the island it held promise of trade, job opportunities, and a larger selection of fruit-based drinks. On the way they encountered a mostly-naked Wood Elf druid making love to a bush, some giant tiny centipedes, and a horrendous smelling owlbear. All of which they attacked at some point for various reasons. The druid, who they have dubbed “Peen” decided to join their party, despite not being great at combat or social interaction, but damn if he can’t throw a rock pretty alright.
After arriving in town the group found a tavern, checked out a community posting board, and spent the evening doing individual tasks. Falkruun worked on her rockstar status performing at the pub, making some decent money. Lee Lee went to a temple to pray, Ephyer slept for 9 days and Natch made a contact with the less than reputable side of the town via Blind Pete. Their newest member, Peen, decided to follow Lee Lee while disguised as a rat in case she needed help, but shockingly that backfired at a level of failure and hilarity only found in sitcoms.
The next morning, after Lee Lee woke up and found Peen in her room (and Natch saw him getting kicked out) the group reconvened and decided to assist a local brewery with a bandit problem. But first, they did a spot of shopping. A few people got some new armor, they stocked up on supplies, and Lee Lee continued on her own personal quest to create a non-lethal, aerosol-based defence method. After an unusual and unhelpful conversation with a small ground-dwelling animal they decided they would join the next beer shipment to see if they would encounter said bandits.

But did you consummate the marriage? (Session 2)
After a brief nap in the aqua-goblin infested cave, because they were le tired, the group continued further into the cave. Overcoming the Peta version of a royal guard with relative ease they encountered a chamber fill to the brim with eggs. Using a combination of lantern oil and holy fire they managed to kill the truck-sized amphibian that, presumably, had been causing all of the village’s problems. They celebrated with high fives, even Merel. Who they’d all forgotten was even there until that very moment.
Upon their return to Fairwater they were treated to a feast of fish cook at least two different ways and all the coconut water they could drink. They were also rewarded with items from the lost and found, which just so happened to contain items that were probably worth more than the entire village. Ephyer received a golden mace of Istus, which crushes skulls with holy power. Lee Lee received the Cloak of the Sugar Glider, which not only makes the wearer look like they murdered Bambi but also allows them to glide and avoid fall damage. Faulkrunn was awarded a sequined vest, which makes the wearer look like Neil Diamond (aka +1 charisma). And finally, for Natch, the goblin pulled out a double vented jacket that looked quite dapper and flexible.
After turning over the large crystal they’d recovered from the cave to Merel for investigation, they headed off toward a town called Glastonbury in search of a fisherman’s missing son. After battle a group of pirates who gave them a clue to who may have captured them and finding the remains of a merchants carts they entered the town and spoke with the tavern keeper. As it turns out, the fisherman's son wasn’t the first one to go missing from this area. Seeking more information they spoke with the head of the family of the plantation owners. There they engaged in some light investigation and marital counseling before agreeing to ask around town for some more information.
