I got a hangover, whooa (Session 1)

A group of four strangers woke up together in the brig of a small ship. In a hangover-meets-Bethesda style crossover, none of them can remember how they came to be in this situation and they are fairly certain they don’t know one another. Natch, a dickish drow rogue, quickly freed them from their cell and incapacitated their guard. After collecting their things the group make quick work of clearing the ship’s hull of their captors, and their captor’s gold. Lee Lee, a haughty high elf cleric, said a prayer.

On the main deck of the ship Ephyer, the very large and fairly racist dragonborn, used the subtle art of throwing dead bodies to convince the remaining crew not to kill them. Unfortunately, the raging storm meant they were forced to assist in sailing the ship, which went surprisingly well until they encountered an island-size mythical beast. Double L, rightly, said another prayer.

After killing most of the remaining crew and nearly one of the escaped prisoners, the Leviathan began destroying the ship. In what would surely set the mood for the rest of this campaign, the group participated in a standard team bonding exercise of sexual inuindoes, poor decision making, and near death experiences. Shockingly, the untrained and ill-prepared “crew” was forced to abandon ship when it was split in half and dragged into the ocean.

Despite what they might tell you about paddling and navigating, currents are likely the cause of the Fabulous Four ending up on the pristine white beaches Knife Point island (also known to some as Merle-garitaville). Here they met a retired cleric named Merle and goblin bartender who somehow convinced them to help with their merlock/peta/gerblin problem.

They made their way to the creatures’ point of origin, a cave to the south, where they got to showcase their abilities. The poison dragonborn did his dragon thing and melted three overgrown tadpoles. Faulkruun, the quiet dwarf bard of the group, impressed with a powerful thunder spell that imploded the chests of two enemies. Lee Lee expressed her magical prowess in the form of a bolt of energy that detonated one of the creatures then blessed the dragon’s shield and with the light of a thousand suns (and a -30 sneak modifier). The Drown showcased his very mundane knowledge of mushrooms and caves, then drank some hallucinogenic water.
